Given the underground placement of pipes, it is necessary for the polyethylene sheaths to be produced according to ISO8180 standards, and special additives should be used to enhance the product’s resistance and longevity. Typically, some moisture from the soil infiltrates into the coating. Although trapped moisture initially has corrosive properties, the oxygen trapped under the cover is soon depleted, halting the oxidation process quickly.

Recommended Uses:

The multi-layer polyethylene film with a thickness of approximately 200 microns is used as a supplementary coating for cast iron, metal, or plastic pipes. This coating acts as an economical solution for protecting pipeline against corrosive soils. Its primary applications are in civil engineering and road construction industries.
