May 5, 2024Heavy-duty polyethylene 3840
Polyethylene is produced from the polymerization of ethylene.
Polyethylene is classified based on its density, with grade 3840 categorized as heavy-duty polyethylene due to its density.
Features:
One of the most important features of this polymer is its thermoplasticity, which allows it to be used in a wide range of industries.
Other desirable features of this material include resistance to UV, good impact strength, low cost, and ease of processing.
Storage conditions:
Polyethylene should be stored in well-ventilated areas, away from heat, sparks, and ignition sources.
Safety:
Contact with dust and vapors from this material can cause irritation and eye watering. Pure and solid polyethylene has no effect on the skin.
Application of polyethylene 3840:
This grade is suitable for rotational molding, used in the production of water storage containers, barrels, plastic tanks and tubs, kayaks, mobile homes, boxes or crates, and plastic baskets. It is chosen for its environmental resistance properties and good resistance to cracking, UV rays, and impact.
